Explore the majestic summits of the Tour des Glaciers de la Vanoise, a 62.6 km trek crossing the heart of Savoie in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. Over 3 to 4 days, you will accumulate 3,321 m of elevation gain to reach a maximum altitude of 2,916 m. This route offers a complete immersion in alpine landscapes: rocky peaks, dizzying cliffs, crystal-clear mountain lakes and high-altitude forests that unfold with each step. You will also discover caves and natural cavities bearing witness to the remarkable geology of the region. Easily accessible without a car, the trek starts from several points connected to public transportation: take a TGV or TER train to Modane station (4 hours from Paris), then the S52 line towards Aussois or the Altibus bus from Moûtiers towards Pralognan-la-Vanoise. A free shuttle from Val Cenis also serves the Bellecombe parking area. This alpine trek immerses you in the wild essence of the Vanoise, between disappeared glaciers and unmissable panoramas.
