Tour des Aiguilles de Bavella

Discover the Tour of Bavella Needles, an exceptional hiking trail in South Corsica that immerses you in the region's most beautiful landscapes. This 11.5 km route, achievable in a day, winds around the famous granite needles that dominate Corsica at 1685 m elevation. You will accumulate 743 m of elevation gain while exploring spectacular rocky summits, vertiginous cliffs, and Mediterranean forests typical of inland Corsica. The trail also reveals natural caves and remarkable geological formations. Accessible without a car thanks to the Balési Évasion bus linking Porto-Vecchio to Ajaccio with a stop at Bavella Pass (daily in July-August, Mon/Fri off-season), this trek also benefits from a free seasonal shuttle from the Viséo parking area in Zonza during summer. An ideal day to contemplate the alpine panoramas of Bavella and understand Corsica's unique geology.
