The Simien Mountains Traverse is a 125.7 km trek that winds through one of the most spectacular mountain ranges in Ethiopia, in the Amhara region. The route unfolds its landscapes along vertiginous cliffs, airy ridges, summits reaching up to 4,520 metres in altitude, and high-altitude forest zones. This trail crosses a territory listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offering panoramic views over escarpments characteristic of the Ethiopian highlands. The traverse follows wild paths through a pristine environment, ideal for observing endemic wildlife such as the gelada and the Ethiopian wolf.
