The Sentiero del Viandante is a magnificent 75 km trek linking Lecco to Morbegno along the eastern shore of Lake Como. This historic route passes through picturesque Italian villages, Mediterranean forests, olive tree terraces and superb viewpoints over the lake and the Alps. Accessible to most hikers, it offers a unique blend of nature, heritage and Lombard culture.

Fully accessibleThe Sentiero del Viandante is particularly easy to reach without a car, thanks to the Milan–Lecco–Colico–Sondrio railway line. The official starting point in Lecco is directly accessible by train from Milan. The endpoint in Morbegno also has a train station served by regional trains linking the Valtellina to Lecco and Milan. Numerous intermediate stations located near the trail also make it possible to join or leave the route at various stages.
